Dr. Kirkpatrick brings over 30 years of aerospace, automotive, and industrial experience to Relevant. During his 24 years with Caterpillar, he held leadership positions in Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. In his role as Facility Manager in Newberry, South Carolina, he led the introduction of 6 new product lines, increasing facility revenue from $160M to $750M. As Global Supply Chain Manager for the Electric Power Division, he led the transformation of a $3.5bn supply chain, reducing inventory by $500M, reducing operating costs by $39M and improving product lead times by 35%. Immediately prior to joining Relevant, he was a Director with Alvarez & Marsal, specializing in operational performance improvement. Sam holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, a Doctorate in Engineering and an MBA. He is a Chartered Engineer and an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional.
